ZUKAN FIGURE
A zukan figure (or Pokedex figure) is a 1/40 scale model of a pokemon. They are available in gacha machines (coin machines!) in Japan for limited amounts of time. Nidoking's line just happens to be one of the rarer sets, and can be fairly expensive. This Nidoking is one of my favorites because he doesn't suffer from Same Pose Syndrome. Zukan are probably the most popular figures that aren't generally available in America.
151 STAMPERS
One of the popular 151 sets, these stamps were made for each of the original 151 pokemon. They can be fairly hard to find depending on which ones you're after. Nidoran M was the hardest to find for me, and sadly he doesn't have a base cover. Made by Banpresto.
WANTED: Alternate base colors!
WANTED: Alternate base colors!
151 CHIBI STAMPERS
Another 151 set! Chibi stampers are smaller "chibi-fied" versions of the pokemon. All 151 pokemon were made. I have to say this nidorino is definitely the most entertaining.
WANTED: Alternate base colors!
WANTED: Alternate base colors!
METAL FIGURES
These tiny metal figures are the same mold as the chibi stampers. The metal figures come in many colors and are generally hard to find. They weigh quite a bit, surprisingly. Enough to increase postage rates.
WANTED: Alternate colored figures.
WANTED: Alternate colored figures.
METAL GARY/NIDOKING
Human metal figures are hard to find and super expensive, especially when Gary Oak is on it. Too bad I only wanted half of it. Very rare and ridiculously hard to find.
Wanted: Other colors
Wanted: Other colors
NIDORAN M FUZZY FIGURE
This figure is flocked, which means it's covered in a thin layer of fuzz. Nidoran M is the only member of the Nidoking line to have a fuzzy figure, and he's one of the few pokemon all together who have one. He feels rather like a peach.
COLORED FIGURES
People say they're hard to find but I have a lot of them somehow.
Wanted: Colors I'm missing

PLASTIC POP-OUT NIDOKING FIGURE
I have next to no idea where this figure came from. I would assume an activity book of some sort. Any knowledge would be helpful! He is barely an inch tall and he is pretty hilarious.
NIDORAN M MEGA BLOK
Pokemon mega bloks are always hard to get because usually you had to buy an entire playset to obtain them. That doesn't mean they are expensive though, just sought after. This is the squarest nidoran M to ever exist.
BANPRESTO NIDORAN M KEYCHAIN
Sadly he isn't totally mint, I had to remove him once when the plastic cover began yellowing and smelling up my cabinet. I am still happy he's complete though. He comes from Japanese UFO (crane) machines.
NIDORAN M 151 BADGE
The most famous of the 151 sets, 151 badges are generally very hard to find as they were sold only in Pokemon Centers for a limited time. I'm lucky enough to have my set completely packaged. They have very unique art that is usually very stylized.
NIDORINO 151 BADGE
Another 151 badge. Unfortunately his art seems to be fairly generic.
NIDOKING 151 BADGE
Ah, the favorite! He has the most unique art of the line, and his badge is another one of my favorite pieces.
NIDORINO NYC 151 BADGE
The same as the Japanese release, but in alternate packaging. It was sold at Nintendo World.
Wanted: The other two!
Wanted: The other two!
BATTLE MUSEUM FIGURES
Battle Museum figures are rare and seem to be made for only a few pokemon. They usually show a pokemon performing a move, as if in battle.
NIDOKING ERASERS
Aren't these awesome? I have no idea where they've come from, but one of them is my favorite color, which is nice.
WANTED: The yellow one, and any other existing alternate colors.
WANTED: The yellow one, and any other existing alternate colors.
MIP NIDOKING ERASER
This one is still on the card. Always great to see my favourite Nidoking art on old Japanese packaging.
NIDOKING IN-CASE FIGURE
The same mold as the chibi stampers. That's how money is made. I bought the first figure out-of-case before I discovered they also come inside cases.
OLD NIDOKING RETSUDAN STAMPER
Retsudan stampers are annoying figures that come in randomized blank boxes. Basically you buy the box before you know what's inside. The older ones seem to be rare as hell. This happens to be my favorite art of nidoking.
WANTED: Nidorino, Nidoran M if it exists.
WANTED: Nidorino, Nidoran M if it exists.
POKEDEX BOX
This is pretty cool. It's about an inch and a half tall and small stickers (which I kept) were inside. I have no idea where it is from or what it is really called. I'd use it for mints but I could probably fit about 5 tic tacs in it before it'd be full.
151 ROSE ART STAMPERS
I suppose these don't really belong in the official "151 line" but 151 of them were made and they were sold in America by Rose Art in an activity case. Not hard to find.
MYSTERY KOREAN TOP
It's mysterious and I think it came in a random blank box set from Korea. Someone bought a box and randomly pulled one nidoking. They've not been seen since. I do believe it is official, but who knows.
COOL MARBLES
I hate marbles, but these have nidoking on them so that's okay. One is pink and one is yellow. I am currently looking for alternate colors. I hate marbles so much, but you can buy hundreds of these, and even a carrying case to carry those hundreds of marbles.
WANTED: Alternate nidoking colors, various Nidoran M and Nidorino colors.
WANTED: Alternate nidoking colors, various Nidoran M and Nidorino colors.
TOMY FIGURES
These figures were the generic figures you could buy anywhere as a kid. Select pokemon like Nidoran M and Nidorino are harder to find, whereas I have 8 Nidoking tomy figures. The second Nidoking you see here is an Audley Tomy, a line of Tomy figures produced for other countries.
WANTED: Boxed Tomy figures of the whole line! Any in package/ on card!
WANTED: Boxed Tomy figures of the whole line! Any in package/ on card!
NIDORAN M TOMY
I forgot to put this in the other Tomy photo and I'm too lazy to retake it.
MIB NIDORAN M TOMY
This one is minty fresh. I love MIB tomy figures and I will be getting Nidorino soon.
Wanted: Does a nidoking like this exist? Never seen one but I need the one in old school large backcard/circular plastic cover packaging.

JUMBO BOOTLEG TOMY
This giant Tomy is next to a regular sized one. It isn't official but it is cool and was a gift from a Gible collector.
POKEMON KIDS - NIDORAN M AND NIDORINO
Kids are a popular line of figures sold in pre-determined boxes all over Japan and now Europe and the USA (though in different packaging). They are hollow and cheap, ranging from $1-$3 for non-clears. They have been producing kids since the first generation of games as far as I know. Newer kids and possibly older ones come with stickers. I still buy kids from new sets at a local import shop.
MIB NIDORAN AND CLEAR NIDORAN KIDS
One is MIB and one is clear. Clear kids were harder to find and encouraged buying multiples, which wasn't too bad as these are only around 300 yen new.
POKEMON KIDS - NIDOKING AND CLEAR NIDOKING
Same as above. Nidoking had a strange original kid. Only certain sets have clear alternates.
POKEMON KIDS - NEWER NIDOKING POSES
The most recent Nidoking kid is on the far right, and came out in 2009. I believe that is the last time he received something new besides cards and other flat items.
NIDOKING KID W/ BOX
Here's the only kid I have that has his sticker and box.
WANTED: Other nidoking line kids with boxes/ stickers!
WANTED: Other nidoking line kids with boxes/ stickers!
NIDOKING ROLLER FIGURE
I have seen this item one other time besides the time I bought mine. I'm not entirely sure where it is from, but who cares because he rolls! He's a little yellowed and is rather large for a Nidoking figure.
CLEAR FCS FIGURES
FCS figures (Full Color Stadium) are another sort of 151 line. The bases are interchangeable. I think the clear ones are a bit difficult to find. One of them has a sticker because I bought it mint, but the sticker really belongs on the bottom. I put it on the top on purpose, because I'd never see it otherwise.
FCS FIGURES
Regular FCS figures and an alternate pose Nidoking. I don't know if Nidorino has a regular one?
BURGERKING TOYS
I prefer McDonald's or A&W, but I guess I can let this one slide. BurgerKing made a lot of pokemon into toys, which was pretty annoying. These ones were released in promotion of the First Movie. Nidoran M is missing his launcher.
BANPRESTO NIDOKING VS ZAPDOS
That is a really tiny Zapdos. Nidoking isn't that tall...
This figure is epic, but I curse myself for not buying one mint with box. But it's honestly not my fault. :U
WANTED: In-box one, or just the box it came in.

WANTED: In-box one, or just the box it came in.
BANPRESTO NIDORAN M BANK
What is with the non-useful items? I could probably fit like 10 quarters in here before it's full. It's cute though. With a big ugly slot down the middle. Thanks Banpresto!
TOMY NIDOKING KEYCHAIN
CAN YOU SELL ME ONE THAT ISN'T BROKEN? BOTH OF THEM ARE BROKEN
NIDOKING LINE PAPERCRAFTS
These guys are cool but I ripped Nidoran a little bit because I'm dumb.
HGSS DEX CHARMS
These charms were released in 2009 in line with the HeartGold and SoulSilver games. The charms spanned the HGSS pokedex and were sold for a VERY limited time in Japan's Pokemon Centers. These charms caused much strife and injury as they were wildly popular, the charm sections at Pokemon Center on release could almost be compared to death traps. These charms have since become less... dangerous to obtain.
2012 DEX CHARMS (WITH HGSS)
In 2012 a line of charms featuring every single pokemon was released, including re-releases of the HGSS charms. Some pokemon came with new poses but Nidoking's line is the same. I have 2 sets of the 2012 charms.
POISON TYPE TIN
Nidoking is a poison type. He is on this tin.
It was a gift!
It was a gift!
METAL SWING CHARM
Wow, these charms/tags are damn hard to find. Very rare. I don't know anything else about them, but I think the first generation and most of the second were produced. I presume they come from gacha machines.
WANTED: Nidoking, Nidoran M
WANTED: Nidoking, Nidoran M
WIND UP TOMY NIDOKING MODEL
Originally I had one of these as a small child when I first got into pokemon. I lost it, and at least 10 years later I bought another as one of the first parts of my collection. My favorite figure. Tomy doesn't make these charming buildables anymore, but if you're itching for a model you can search for the Pokemon Plamo sets!
NIDOKING BLOCK MAGNET
When I was younger I bought a Rhydon block magnet without having any idea a Nidoking one existed. But it does and I have it.
NIDORAN M GB CART
This nidoran was part of a set of mini gameboys.
AQUAPOLIS DECK BOX
I had wanted this for a long time but of course Aquapolis is a really old set. Somehow it turned up sealed at a toy store near my school in 2011. Yes, I did pay the price on the pricetag and it will remain sealed.
Wanted: Sealed/opened and complete Brushfire deck (Features Nidoran M)
Wanted: Sealed/opened and complete Brushfire deck (Features Nidoran M)
HS TRIUMPHANT DECK BOX
A complete deck box from the HGSS release. This one was opened because I wanted the playing mat inside.
HGSS BINDER
I keep my nido-line cards in here.
ORGANIZED PLAY TCG BINDER
This Organized Play binder was not for regular sale and is thus very hard to find. There is a jolteon on the back.
MAGICAL VHS TAPE
I can't watch it but I can look at the picture on the front. I believe it was a "rental only" sort of tape.
ITALIAN (???) BOTTLECAPS
I think these were exclusive to an Italian brand of soda. Either way I hate them and they cost too much money. I think Nidoran alone was $26. Sorry for glare but too bad, these make me angry.
BAT MEMOS
Short for Battle Memos. These are a little over an inch tall and don't count as flats because I stand them up in my display case.
Wanted: Nidoking (seen but not bought yet)
Wanted: Nidoking (seen but not bought yet)
NIDORAN M MINI METAL FIGURES
Very rare metal figures that can fit on a dime with room left to spare. These are the only variations and as far as I know the rest of the line doesn't have these.
NIDORAN TFG
The trading figure game was short lived with many unreleased figures. Some of those figures can sell upwards of $300, or even $600+ in the case of Mewtwo. But don't worry, Nidoran was only a few dollars. I feel that these could have sold better if they weren't tied to an unpopular game, as the sculpts are done by the amazing Kaiyodo. Sadly, the trading figure game never expanded and production was canceled.
2000 SERIES PINS
These pins were obviously sold in the year 2000. They came in random packs, which isn't as fun in America as it is in Japan. We seem to charge a lot more here...

WHAT IS THIS
Can anyone tell me what this is.
KEYRINGS
For a long time I didn't understand why Nidorino was on a keyring with Gengar. Then I was told that is the opening sequence of Red and Blue. And the anime. Then I felt dumb for a while.
