Metal coins from a game. Searching for the king!
These cardboard chips come from the Master Trainer board game. I have the whole game, but remove these friends for display.
Very thin chips from a Japanese pokedex game.
This should be familiar to a few people! When Tomy figures were released in American packaging, each figure came with a matching cardboard pog. They were meant to be used for a sort of game along with the figures, but I don't think anyone ever did that.
I have no idea what these are.
Cool little evolution plastic chips. Looking at it from different angles will show you both Nidoran M and Nidorino (pictured below). These came in fun little packs and are similar to the stickers that share the same art and design. One of the many, many small American collectibles.
Alternate view of the above item.
These are very, very tiny pokedex card stickers. They're unmarked so I'm not sure where they came from, but I imagine each of the first 151 Pokemon have these.
Nidoking from a Trozei sticker sheet!
A mysterious and potentially unofficial card. Nidoking is on it, so why not?
A wonderful large and official Nidoking sticker!
This Nidorino has MATH on the back! He comes from a cut-out sheet of math flashcards. Math with Pokemon is always better...
Yet another line of collectible cards that aren't really used for anything in particular. Looking for Nidoran and Nidoking.
Cut from a sheet of generic 151 stickers. Very VERY tiny.
The following three pages come from a children's grammar text, designed to teach children vocabulary. I wish we had gotten more things like this with cute unique art in America when I was young enough for it. Only the other two have anything interesting to say...
What confusing art! This Nidoking teaches us the difference between himself and Nidoqueen.
"If you remove the head and tail (first and last syllable), you get dokin. Which of the two is it?"
Thanks to Hibiki and friends for the loose translation!
"If you remove the head and tail (first and last syllable), you get dokin. Which of the two is it?"
Thanks to Hibiki and friends for the loose translation!
And the answer to the question!
"Of course it's Nidoking!"
"Of course it's Nidoking!"
A very familiar postcard/scorecard from the American TCG League. Each of the original gym leaders received one. I have the matching full sized event poster as well.
Nodoking got himself on a TCG sleeve! I only have a single sleeve...
A giant glittering cardboard Nidoking pog. So far not much luck determining where this is from.
Same as above, but lacking in the glitter department. This one looks like it belongs to a game of some kind.
Similar to the other two, but from a frontal view. Looks like it could be from the same game as the one above!
This is really cool and unique, but it has no marking on it to tell me where it's from or what it is. It's made of metal and looks really cool. There are a few other Pokemon with one of these, but none of those seem to be marked either.
These come from a little packet of Pokedex cards. They feature basic dex information.
I like this one a lot because of the special pose. I haven't seen any other cards from this set yet.
Removed from my copy of Pokemon Monopoly. Nidoking is $$$.
These are wall stickers and I wish they still made things like this. What kid wouldn't want these on their wall? Still looking for Nidoran...
Yes, someone sold me pieces of this puzzle. The image itself is also used as the cover for the Master Trainer board game.
I have quite a few of these, but I'm not sure what line they are from exactly as Nidoking is the only one I've seen.
A pan sticker! Pan stickers are removable stickers found in Pokemon Pan - pan being a type of Japanese flavoured bread treat. You'll find one sticker with every pan, and they're often themed to the current movie promotion.
From your typical American sticker sheet.
These are from collectible sticker packs. There are tons of these and they are super cheap nowadays. I have binders covered in them from when I was a lot smaller.
This is a really cool large sized vending sticker. I've only ever seen two of these so I'm not sure what else might be in the set.
A Dragon Frontiers TCG package. If there's one thing I like about TCG in America, it has to be the unique pack art.
A tattoo sheet!
These come from a sticker sheet found in an American art activity set. They came alongside markers, colouring pages, rubber stamps, and all kinds of cool stuff. I had the whole set as a child.
The Nidoking Safari! A full page comic book from the popular Pokemon Adventures series.
From a set of Japanese playing cards that use the 3D models from Pokemon Stadium. These are really awesome.
